Whilst I am aware that googling can provide links to various free media sites. It is still not always easy to find exactly what you are looking for. Epsecially if you are looking for something very specific.

This site must be full of talented 2D/3D artists, musicians etc. so, I was wondering if any of them would be willing to provide there services for nothing but a smilie and a thank you (and maybe a mention in the credits of finished project)

Other forums that I am a member of have a section (or two) dedicated to this kind of thing, where members can go to request a sprite/3D model/SFX/piece of music and if anybody is willing and able to respond they simply upload it to the site.

Maybe TGC would be willing to add this to the site. I am sure it would be a very welcome addition for many people.

Uh, did ya notice the three game making threads in the next section? That's where the majority of requests belong. And yes, while there may be many talented people, they are also usually very busy people with several projects going on. Especially now, several months before a major contest deadline, finding talent might be tricky.

Having said that, I'm a very firm believer in self help. If you need 3D models of non-animated objects, check out the DoGA series of utilities. They are very easy to use and free to download. And to pour gravy on that, I do my level best to try and help anyone that does help themselves.
