Please note that I do not wish to steal levels. I don't give people my games. I just think it'd be interesting to play around with other levels and change them around a bit for my own entertainment.

No. the .fpm file type is a completely unique file type and only runs under Dark Basic code. Unless it was another fps creator level, but you can't get the levels from downloading FPSC games anyways.

Aaaawh. Sad face. They probably made it that way on purpose so they wouldn't get sued.

It's more like a compatibility thing. Valve, Epic Games, id Software, etc... they all use their own unique code and
level building tools. It would be a costly effort to try and allow such a thing to exist. On top of that, the way
the professional games are made is way more complex then what the FPSC editor could pull off in it's current state.

Problem would be you would need to have all of the same game assets that make up the level you import, or else there would be missing 'pieces' when you opened the level in the editor.
