Ok so I was thinking that it seems odd that, that I know of there is no flashlight mounted weapon out there. Well with a flashlight that actually cast a beam of light anyway. I've seen a few custom scripts that do something similar to this but not exactly. I want a weapon, say the desert eagle with a working flashlight, like you see on left for dead.

So I got to thinking and perhaps in my ignorance I came up with this I was just wondering if anyone thought it was in theory possible.

I recently bought the led mini flashlight pack from the store.
If I created a weapon flashlight in an editor (any suggestions for an editor to do this would be welcome.) then attached the led flashlight script to it. then in the editor mounted the flashlight to the desert eagle. Would the created flashlight then cast a beam of light when the proper button is pushed?

I am sure some of you are going "hmmmmmm I wonder if that would actually work?" and others are saying simply "what a moron"

Just trying to think outside the box.

I'm getting a little confused by what you are saying. If I understand correctly, this is what you did? 1. Bought pack. 2. Made a flashlight in a 3d modeling program. 3. Brought the flashlight into fpsc as a weapon, with the flashlight script. 4. Attached the flashlight mesh to a dessert eagle mesh and brought that into fpsc.

If that is what you did, then no it will not work. However, (Id on't have the script so I'm not sure), if the flashlights work off of a script linked to in the FPE, then in theory you could make a regular gun, get it all working, then link the flashlight script into the new weapon's fpe. Of course, this is theoretical.

D.R.

Thanks for the reply. didin't meant to confuse though. I haven't done anything I was just wondering if it were possible to make an edit like that.

I am just surprised that noone as far as I can tell has come up with a way to do it.

Troutfiles, if you're talking about flashlight mounted onto the weapon this IS possible somewhere, I did spot it somewhere.

I just did a quick google and can't seem to find the right keywords to track down where I spotted it, it could have been in one of the many mods available but I do know there was talk of the ability to mount a pseudo-light to a weapon. I'll keep looking for you and post when I find it!

I believe weapon mounted flash-lights are do-able in WASP mod, not sure about stock FPSC.

I have the wasp mod can't seem to find it though. I appreciate you trying to track it down. I'm new to this whole thing so I'm sorta stinking through it. Still trying to max my fps, wasp helps just wish there was one out there that would give a good steady 30 fps.
