Lets say I had a program that had a 3D object representing a terrain. This terrain is (UV) tiled 50 tiles by 50 tiles. Now, I want to be able to lightmap the entire 3D terrain, but if I load the light map, I get 50x50 tiles of lightmaps everywhere.... not exactly realalistic is it? Is there a work around?

Current Projects: Game Spawn 85%, mini BSP maker 50%, Height Mapper with many features 75%, Space Tactical (Like BC300AD) 15%.

what program have you used to make this lightmap? 3dmax5? If so then your UV mapping is on the wrong UV channel, it must be on channel 1 for it to work.

Is it possible to have 2 UV sets on a object in DBP?
I've tryed to export meshes from max5 with more then one UV, but
they dont work in DBP.

I've noted that the texture object command have an extra parameter
for texturing various "stages".
I would like to use this command to add lightmaps to my levels.

Me, You, DBP and everything else, were made in the same place. The Stars!
I wonder what kind of matter DBP bugs are made of ... antimatter ??

yeah, basically that is my problem. I don't think DBP supports multiple UV maps in objects, or at least, more importantly for me at the moment now, being able to modify the UVing of each channel individulally or loading textures using those UV channels.

Thanks for the help though, and for the record, I'm using TS4.3

Mike says that DBO objects support unlimited UV maps and you can add to them easily enough. Look for upgrade 6 for this.

Also lightmapping is coming as well with full on shadows.. He is working on adding a few more features for it.
