Hello, I'm making a space RTS and I'm wondering what the best method would be to create stars in the background. I could either have individual plains for stars, or a repeated image in the background.

What do you guys think would be best for performance and what would look better?

Thanks

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The RTS will be played from a top down view, and I want the stars to move as the camera moves, so a skysphere won't suffice in this case.

Thanks for trying.
