I have seen, I believe in Cosmic Prophets Star Trek pack in the Holodeck, he has black segments.

I am looking to do the same thing. For what I am wanting to do in this situation, I need a large RGB Black room without it being transparent.

Okay, more on what I am wanting this for. Just toying around and I want to make some video layers using FPSC. Problem is, Expression Encoder handles RGB Black the best for making clean transparent backgrounds.

If I can get some help with this I would be willing to share my recordings.

I think it would be awesome to have some of Errants MP53 hanging out in the apartment and perhaps outside shooting kitties!

just use the "tga" file format with and alpha channel, so it does not get transparent.
I think you used JPG or something like that.

Thanks, once I find and revert back to a 118 beta that isn't giving me problems I will try using tga instead.

Only an RGB of 0,0,0 is transparent, any other number besides 0, for example r0,b0,g1 would still look black but not be transparent.

NickyDude,

Right, although with Expression Encoder anything other than 0,0,0 sometimes gives sketchy edges around the wanted layer.

[adding] Anyone that wants to play around with Encoder, try to find a copy of Encoder 3, Encoder 4 (free) does not support MP4 output.

Only .jpg is transparent with o,o,o.
Use .dds or tga wthout alpha channel, saving them 32bit for alpha increases file size and is pointless if not using the channel.
