Hi all,

Has anyone else got the problem with DarkCLOUDS where you use the DC SET TIME command and it keeps returning the error "Could not understand command"?

I'm using the code in the sample project. The only addition I made is to add the line DC SET TIME time# command so that it would progress through the day so I could see what night time looked like... I've copied the code for DC SET TIME directly out of the help file and DBpro keeps telling me it can't understand the command...

From what I remember, DC SET TIME is broken.

When you run DC UPDATE time#, just advance the time# variable to the time of day you want. 0.0 - 23.99.

Fair enough. Thanks for that.

So it's just broken? Like that? No updates or whatnot to fix it?

It's not the only broken command either, but I guess it made the grade for "Good Enough"..

Overall it works fine. It's just annoying to have an included and documented command that doesn't function and actually causes a crash whenever you try and use it..

Luckily they aren't critical commands.

@ CumQUat and KISTech,

Have reported this bug (and all the other recent ones reported) by email to Roderick at SimulSoftware and cc'd to Mike at TGC...

Fingers crossed...

@ All,

Actually, how about a DarkClouds 2 based upon 'TrueSky':-

To get results like that at a reasonable frame rate, without taking up to much memory, inside a DBPro app, would be freakin' awesome!!

which is why it is probably a pipe dream - nevertheless, I am thinking Blitzworks Terrain and that together and you'd get.... a dead graphics card...

I had seen TrueSKY and thought it looked AMAZING, and I'd love to see a DarkCLOUDS v2.0

Thanks for the bug submission, Duffer! Lets hope something comes from it!
