I'm in. I'll start out with some ruined buildings and walls. General urban items thrown in the mix.

What sort of media are you looking for? The media you have so far look like they are from M.A.S.H.

Oh the irony... I accidentally overwrote the M16's texture...

... I still have the model, so I don't need to redo the uv map... but I don't think I could redo the texture... I might just have to...

Josh: Any media that would be used to create games on modern warfare. ( Warfare utilizing modern technology). Say...Anything from WW1, and after. (no horse drawn cannons, and such).

Tanks, Aircraft, service vehicles, weapons, field gear, scenery (such as destroyed buildings and the like).

I myself, went on turbosquid, and typed in "military", and browsed all the models others had made, to get ideas.

I would love to contribute, i wouldn't be able to get them fpsc ready. Any chance you would be able to do that if i uploaded the .x and texture files?

Thanks.

I figured I could make some military base objects, this is a makeshift barricade composed of concrete pipes, the pipes can be entered which could be usesful for cover or when trying to make a unique level. but anyway here's the screenshot

I need to download paint.net to get the image transparent.

@Poloflece the texture looks stretched to me, can be easily fixed by editing the uv map.

Heres what i'm working on:

nice, it doesn't look very stretched when the black parts are transparent. I'll fix it up a bit.

Looks great so far guys! Anything goes here. As long as it fits the theme of the pack. I'll get it all catagorized by media type.

All types of media are cool, entities segments, HUDS, overlays (blood, shell casings, etc) posters, and signs, audio, video,....Whatever you can come up with.

No worrieis, I've got the Characters covered.

As with all of the previous community packs, I'll accept some untextured models and try to get around to doing textures on some of them, so it's great to have someone else to help with that as well.

I will also accept reference pics for items that could be used in the pack, but may only get to a few of them. I've got a ton of stuff of my own (as usual) to contribute.

Thanks again, Hopefully we'll get a lot more people to join in.

looks great! adamW. nice work indeed.

Be sure to mind your poly counts guys. I'm notorious for pushing the limits in that area, but we need to keep in mind, not eveyone has huge quad core rigs, and blazing graphics cards. And this pack is geared for use by everyone.

Thanks.

Camouflaged Technical with spec+normal (not particularly visible in this screen admittedly). Would be a good mounting position for the Browning above.

Looks nice

Here's a picture of a jet I'm making for the pack, CF-100 Canuck. Not terribly happy with it, I think I could have spared a bunch of polies around the engines.

Does anyone want to try to texture the M16? I could still do it, but I'm kinda tired of weapons for right now.

Hey Cosmic, my brain is done working for the day and I can't think of what to make. Is there anything in particular you are looking for? Or have some suggestions for what we should be modeling for this?

14 Entities modeled, UV mapped, and textured. I have yet to rig them. All are variants of two base meshes, which are shown.

I also dug up an old tank model I did, rather lowpoly.

I email all this to you when its all done.

@Design Runner:
Man, Your 3D Modeling skills are quite good..now just work on the texturing aspect (a bad texture can REALLY kill a model )

@CP: Im working on a couple of models that could be animated when Im done but I have no idea how (animation is not my thing)... would you be able to for me?

Cheers,
Anayar

I think I could get it animated, and I'm pretty sure I could script it in to the object. What kind of objects would they be?

I've done a very rough ode to the U2 "Dragon Lady" Spy Plane with RAF insignia.

(The bottom one is the FPSC one ) Still a work in progress. The texture is a bit off in places, as you can see. It's spec+bump mapped though. Good for background scenery as the texture gets a bit blurry up close.

And a long-distance (or flying) plane based on the MiG-35. (Badly) textured, spec and normal with older Russian livery. Apparently this is still common so I thought I'd put it on. About 1200 polys in total.

First refernce Pictures for anyone who may fancy turning one of the stock US marines into a nam era Infantry man
First up the helmet and boots, i think only retexturing would be required.
Boots

simple retexture just adding some green

Helmet

simplish camo pattern

and if you want a challange you could add some webbing to the Mesh

(on its own)

and Being worn

hurmm, your models look pretty badass. only thing is the texture, the textures do look fine to me only that they are blurry. This can be fixed through the resoloution of the maps. try making them 1028 x 1028 or maybe even 2048 x 2048 if needs be. although 1024 x 1024 should suffice.
