@ ASTEK & xX TOXIC Xx
I am very flattered that you guys like my idea. Astek, I very much agree with what you said in your first post. Consider it signed!
Toxic, I would really like to play that game, if you should decide to make. If you do, I wanted to ask you to consider two things, please. First, try to make the player feel emotionally attached to the characters. If the player must save the girl, they better like her

Second, I would love to see a little historical accuracy. Not just in the visuals but maybe the characters talking about persons or events of that time. I think stuff like that adds a lot to the atmosphere.
You said, you would like to make a scifi game. I thought about that a little. It's a vaaast genre. If you want to do aliens and stuff, you may want to reconsider. I don't think there are many alien characters available. You could look into the horror characters but I think it's going to be difficult. If you want to do a more down-to-earth story, that would of course be very possible and as a scifi Fan myself I would like to play it. I don't think there are enough FPSC scifi games out there.
The following is a quick scifi idea that I had. Not really a storyline, just an idea. I am unsure about it myself, so don't worry, I won't die, if you don't like it:
It's starts in a kind of medieval society. There is digging going on. Maybe mineshafts, maybe archeological diggings. There you find a strange artifact. Maybe a datapad. Surprisingly it's written in your own language and it gives you clues on where you could find more. slowly you uncover that you are decendants of a human society that was once very star trek-ish but got destroyed by a catastrophe. Without power, without technology humanity reverted back to a more primitive lifestyle, memories of the past were forgotten and now humanity has to invent and learn everything all over again. Maybe the clues lead you to the relics of an old city. there you can activate an evelator that sends you into orbit, where you learn that you are not actually on a planet but on an artifical satellite... etc etc bla bla.
I guess that's enough mysteries. If you want, you can fill in the blanks now :-P And if there are Babylon 5 fans among you, yes, i was inspired by one of the episodes
Kind regards, Caveman
PS. I would prefer to see the first story made into game though
