This is a game I've been working on and off for a while now. The objective is simple, get the highest score!!! So, try it out and tell me what you think. I'm hoping to eventually make this game compatible with netbooks and them publish it to the Intel Appup store. There are instructions but here are some anyway.

Currently, there is no way to reset the scores from inside the program so in order to do so just find the "highscores.dat" file and delete it.

Special thanks to baxslash for his ideas and input into the game.

I'll have yet to add more sounds but what do you guys think of the car engine. It came in a darkMatter soundpack and is labelled something like racingengine but I think it sounds more like a clothes dryer.

EDIT: seems your images were done right just not direct links. I couldn't view the images either... also the zip is corrupted!

Glad to help Hodgey! Looking forward to seeing how this progresses!

I'll leave you to it on the coding front now but if you have any problems just let me know!

omg COPS O_O

It's quite a fun game. I would like to see a more gradual build up of stuff that block you.
ps. If you can, fix the 25mb file, this game should be nowhere near 25mb in size.

this has to be one of the most addictive games ive ever played on dbpro and its not even to beat the high scores, its because i keep trying to get to 160 kph without crashing into something.

also i like the corrupted version better because when the background was black i couldn't see the objects popping in.

and i like how i can speed past multiple police cars without getting chased...cool

I just tried downloading it and it worked for me, maybe the forums gives out the occasional corrupted zip folder

I can arrange that.

"

I'll try to fix that.

Glad to hear it

It's about to get a bit harder, I have plans to make the police cars move backward and forward

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'll get to work on those suggestions.

Me too and it's fine now... strange. Could be a problem at my end I guess too.

I agree that's a great idea!

Nice! I like this idea too!

I was also thinking maybe Nitro pickups that give you a speed boost whether you want it or not? That would be cool...

I was thinking of something along those lines but I'm not sure how much our netbooks will appreciate it . I'm also thinking of adding some sort of invincibility, maybe mix it with the nitros for an ultimate effect.

Should be OK I think...

You could have a ghosted sphere for a 'force field' or ghost the buggy for a 'phase shift' effect?

That's a good idea, how many times have I said that to you? I might have to use that.

Not sure, about a dozen? Ideas are one thing I'm never short of

What about some explosions when you hit something too so it's like the car is on fire/flaming?
