No real need to ask - this is the problem caused by Windows 7 SP1 - it breaks the DBPro executables. I've avoided applying it so far for that reason.

The fix is to use the 7.7 beta for your current code. I'm not sure what can be done for exe's that you don't have code for - I guess at some point I'll bite the bullet and try to work something out for myself.

I reinstalled DarkBASIC but this time I made sure I installed DirectX (August 2008) before installation, and everything is working great! I had to do this because about a month after I installed the update the program completely crashed.
