I don't think FPSC would work to make a fishing game, but you could make a game where you run around slapping people with a giant fish. That'd be hilarious.

While I'm sure the game can be made with FPS Creator, I fear that it would be just as boring as actual fishing.

Oh yeah, I made fish swim for "Below", but I'm just saying who wants a game of waiting around for a fish to bite? I guess if you can accelerate time in the game it wouldn't be so bad?

You could make a harpoon fishing game or even a oyster pearl collecting game.

I tried to do the rigging, fishing rod, a model of Zwarte Piet, but I did not succeed.

It would be good to change bait, choosing, ie making various fishing rods (duplicate) and each rod, display hud with a little drawing of bait.

Well it would certainly be different!

I'm no good at modeling or rigging tho, but maybe someone will step up and help you out with this.

It compiled! Ship it!

I think it could be done in a basic way with something like this (not actually how but what would need to be done)

A fishing rod weapon, which when fired, shoots out a grenade (with a different flak model like a lure) that doesn't explode, which upon landing (on water) changes into a dynamic object. Fish could either be assigned waypoints which may intersect the location or where the lure/bait is (depends on where you've casted it.

That would take a large ammount of work and scripting but does seem possible.

They would be great for a fishing game!
If you download free fish, please rate!
Good luck with your game!

Making someone's day a little better because of one of my models means a lot to me.

@Poloflece Games it seems to me very possible, but I hope so, it would be a nice alternative to mini-games or a real fishing game with lots of menus.

@AJ Schaeffer ty for your model, certainly i download

I dont see why it couldnt work. You set the fishing rod as a weapon, and when you aim, the fishing rod is thrown back, when you release the aim button, the line is cast. then you press the fire button to reel inthe fish - if it hits a fish, it deals out 999 damage to the fish, and then the fish is pulled towards the player. oh, and the player would be stationery, so I presume. You could have a points system and so on. I dont know how to do weapons rigging, but if you ask someone nicely, they might do it for you. Also, I think there is a tutorial about weapon rigging in the community guide or something.

A mod has been erased by this sig because it is too large
