TYPING IN ALL CAPS DOESNT MAKE PEOPLE WANT TO HELP YOU! IT IS ANNOYING TO READ! That being said try asking for help. FPSC most certainly isn't rubbish, just try looking through the FPSC bugs section for the same error you are getting. Open the thread, and chances are there is a fix.

Little bit of an immature start to the forums weatherbob... Every software can have its problems and FPS Creator surely has its own list of its own, but every machine has a different setup and different configs can pose problems, but overall it's a truly unique and rapidly developing engine.

I can say on my laptop and 2 machines I have never had a problem I cannot work around and/or fix.

Like DR said, whatever the problem is, let the forum members know and post screenshots with as much info as possible, there is always a cure. Having said that, try be a little more mature in the way you post (ie: not all in caps and not all in bold) it will be heavily frowned upon!

WeatherBob,

Make sure you are the very least running the latest stable version from HERE.

However, most everyone else has moved on to using one of the beta versions HERE. So you will most likely get more help with one of these versions.

I myself had problems getting 1.17 running on this laptop and had no choice but to move onto one of the beta versions.

As for FPSC in general, it is great software.
It is just rapidly updating and will take some finess of your own to keep up.

You can and will get all the help you need to get running smooth, as long as you ask the right way. There are quite a few people here that will take time out of there own schedule to help you individually.

Welcome to the world of FPSC.

WHY DON'T YOU TRY POSTING YOUR SYSTEM SPECS AND THE ERROR YOU ARE RECIEVING, AND THEN PERHAPS ASK FOR HELP IF THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ?!?!?!

Hello Weatherbob,

I do not know what software you are talking about or its version, but if FPSC, so please, try to completely uninstall it then install the version 01 and run the program.

Fill in the map editor with some segments, not too much and compile them (test level button).

Now close the program and install version 1.17 which is more stable, then run the FPSC cleaner choosing yes options into the brackets.

After deleting all files( .dbo and .bin), you can to close the fpss cleaner window.

It is not mandatory but would be good to reboot your computer and after that try to run the FPSC v. 1.17 and you can make your map or load a few maps from map bank folder and test it again (test level button).

You're not alone, I can understand you because some times the FPSC got me mad and willing to give it up, but I take a deep breath and count until ten and move on in the hope that in future very soon the biggest problems of this software (FPSC) can be solved.

Also I want believe and hope that TGC developer team are working hard trying to fix all failures in this software as soon as possible.

However I just do not know how long I'll be waiting for that come true still, after all I won't live forever, but until that dream becomes reality, I'm on the road trying to go forward and doing my best.

I hope this can help you in some way.

Regards.

No problem WeatherBob.

As for everyone else, I really don't think "textual lashing" is necessary.
If it annoys you, simply ignore it.
If you have suggestions to help, then make your suggestions.
I really don't see how that could be confusing.
