Hi, I got fpsc a couple of days ago and Im loving, can't wait to share my work. Im having a few problems with the lighting. I want my map to be darker with the lights that I place being the only light sources. How do i do this?

Go into Build Game in the menu (in the Editor), then click on global settings. Reduce your 3-colored ambiance to zero (just reducing the overall ambient level won't do it). You may find you'll want some ambient light (to simulate light-bounce) though; so you'll have to play with the numbers to find what you want.

You can also, in test game, use the , and . keys to raise/lower the ambiance light level in the game. Then hit enter to save it. I think it involves a little bit less trial and error.

Yep; good call DR, that's a good way to do it quickly, then write down or remember the percent....go into your settings as described above and input that number.

Thing with simulating light bounce using the ambience is it does not take into account distance...

Correct; which is why it's more of a "cheat".
