Heh. Sorry you guys. I was having a morning.
Slayer, I hope there's no hard feelings here. I didn't mean to go ballistic on ya. I'm actually trying to save you a lot of heartache later on down the road. I know what it's like to need quality sound assets for your game, the right sounds really do make a big difference in gameplay.
If you can't seem to find the sounds you need online, do some reading up on Foley art. That's how they make sound effects for the movies and you'd be surprised how easy it is and how much stuff you have just lying around your house that you can use to make some excellent sounds for your game. For example, this weekend I'll be recording some custom dialog that sounds like special ops guys on walkie talkies. Guess how I'm going to record it? With a real walkie talkie and a radio scanner connected to the computer! You can't get much more authentic sounding audio than that.

If anyone else in my neighborhood has a scanner or FRS radio listening in on the right channel, they're gonna think the place is under attack, LOL. I guess if the cops and the SWAT team shows up I'll know why.
But this method will allow me to create EXACTLY the right audio for my game, and when it's all done, the audio is mine and mine alone which makes ME the copyright holder, and that's a good place to be when someone guts the game like a fish thinking they can just slap my audio into their own game and no one will be the wiser. I'll be waiting for that like the Grinch waited for all the little Who's to fall asleep on Christmas Eve.
Anyway, don't scrap your project man, just find some appropriate free sounds or make your own sounds for it and then no one can say a word about the assets being used. Trust me, you'll be glad you took the time to do this - your game will be BETTER for it.
It compiled! Ship it!
