Just getting started with this. Is there a rule of them or general accepted scale for feet per segment? As in each segment is about 8ft square?

Is there any way to import a floor plan without manually drawing all the wall segments?

I set my modeling program scale to:

1 segment = 100" long x100" wide x100" high

I also model in full scale (1:1) and all my models come out the right size.

I guess I didn't ask the question quite right. Let's say I have an architectural drawing for a location I want to model. I don't expect to be accurate, but if I know the different room sizes, like room X is 12' by 24', how many segments X by X would create the right perspective?

Henry Ham is close.

It is
8ft 4in x 8ft 4in x 8ft 4in
or 2.54m x 2.54m x 2.54m
or 100in x 100in x 100in(this is the one that is actually used in FPSC and in modeling programs i think)

In-case someone is wondering, it is in the Official Community Guide to FPSC page 243 under Distance + Size (well the feet measurement anyways)

If the segments were 100 in. x 100 in. 100 in., each segment would take the shape of a cube, instead of the rectangular prism that you see in the editor. And I agree with bugsy, all of our player characters would be Olympic Gold Medalists!

When I first started playing with this. I imported the wall, floor and stair mesh into my modeling software and used the measurement too to see how big each segment was. The rectangular prism you see is cause by the view being that of perspective than a straight top down view. If I'm wrong maybe someone who programmed the stock segments could tell us for sure but I've used that scale since I started and my custom segments match the stock ones. About the gold medalist...It's a video game. If your gonna accept the fact that the player can absorb multiple gun shot wounds, why stop at super human jumping?

I understand what you mean, as many people have success with that scale in modelling, but...my evidence is that you can place a single Sci-Fi large box in a segment cell, but you can stack 2 high, and if you look at an entity by right clicking on it, you'll notice that the wall segment reaches up much higher than the floor segment is wide or long.

And I understand its a video game, haha, I was just joking around myself. But still, games still needs a sense of scale. And think about it, the math doesn't add up. If the player is 6 feet tall, and jumps 4 feet in the air, his head would clip through the ceiling nearly 2 feet, but ingame, you always fall short of the ceiling. Either way, I hope someone does clarify what's going on!

I didn't know the character could jump 4 feet into the air. It seems like he only jumps 2 feet or less. Are you measuring the jump height from the characters feet?

I can do that, so why not the character.
I can jump over 7 feet from a stance (no running), so jumping more than 12' from a jog or short run (5 or 6 steps) would be no problem.
The 4 foot height I can break from a stance too, but I wouldn't get as far.
I would be willing to bet that I could break 10 foot long and four high from 2 steps...
I am going to try now and measure the length to see how many steps I need for a 12' jump. (and remember...I'm an old man)

EDIT
I guess I am getting old...I could only hit 6'4" from a stand still (2 attempts), which is much less than I used too.
2 steps was right at 9' (1 attempt)
3 steps broke 10' (1 attempt)

I got way less than 3 feet height at the most on that last jump.
I was jumping in gravel though and not sand, so I didn't really pull my legs up for more distance.
I opted for landing on my feet without letting my butt hit the ground, so I probably lost maybe a foot for that.

So yeah, the player is more like the young me.
