I've looked everywhere on the forums and haven't been able to nail these effects down. I have 2 small projects where I'd ideally like to use these effects, but can they be done in current build (I do understand that there are usually creative workarounds so "can they be done" is a loaded phrase)?

1) SUN GLARE/RAYS from a skybox without "lens flare" being built into the skybox.

2) HEAT HAZE (further entities being a little "cloudy" while close entities are "clear") and HEAT SHIMMER/MIRAGE.

Many thanks for any ideas on creating these or leads on finding more info.!

1) set post-processing to 3 (i think)
2) that is Depth of Field[DoF], so yes, set post-processing to 2 (the current DoF doesn't work properly)
BTW, you can only have one Post-processing effect at a time, so if you want both you'd have to merge the effects (i don't know how)

I hope this helps

Proper Heat haze could easily be added to the source, however it is quite a GPU muncher.
