Is it just me, or does it seem like the art and style of FPSC's SciFi textures, entities, and segments seem extremely inspired by Doom 3's art style? Even the Terrorstrike HUD looks exactly the same!

FPSC and Doom 3 are very similar engines.

Yeah, compare the stock sifi doors to Doom 3's doors.

@Nomad Soul
How are they in any way similar? (no offence) I can't see similarities between Id Tech 4 & FPSC, one has a unified lighting system; the other static light maps and whatever.

Hi uzi idiot

None taken. I agree ID Tech 4 has unified lighting and shadows which FPSC does not but they have similar graphics otherwise e.g. bump mapping, specular mapping, particles etc.

Also they are both designed primarily for indoor environments with limited outdoor scenes.

Its cool to look back on the Doom 3 map I started in 2007 using FPSC v1.07. If I'd had v118 at the time I'm quite sure it would have been close.

I still live in hope FPSC will get dynamic shadows one day.

Yep, totally agree with Nomad, but also, i cant see what has updated from the oldie v1.0 the general graphics im speaking, ok, shaders stuff and mods came out, so what? i cant see any ACTUAL development, we still cant get a nice piece of build... we still cant get a good Fps rate...so why dont encourage lee to take his time and try to rewrite the Lighting/building on fpsc, i think its also a priority to get fps slowodowns over, i mean, Mirrors edge ran on my pc at 70 fps, and FPSC runs on a small level at...50 fps, so , yea, what can i do about it? nothing, but i think many buyers will appear with this addon im speaking about...

Basicly and shortly: FPSC v1.0 (Graphically[Lighting] -> V1.18= No change.

I think FPSC's lighting system isn't very good, mainly in terms with shadow reaction (or should I say lack of).
to demonstrate, make a 3x3 room, put a start point at the bottom. then take out the centre segment and put a light there. Notice how characters and weapons are still lit even though they are in shadow.

@uzi idiot, looks more like a shader problem to me.

Here's a shader that's easier to see (Bond'1s Planar shadows)
