im new to darkbasic progamming i have a little experience with c++ and visual basic but im completely mystified with dark basic i bought the special bananza which was on lately and it hasnt arrived in the mail yet so i thought i would take this time to learn as much as i can so anything to help me out would be brilliant

Well, you can in the meantime download the free version of Dark Basic Pro and have a nosey at the examples that come with it. The same also goes for GDK, but you will need to follow the instructions on GDK installation.
