It's there a reason to have about 70 bones (half as joints) into stock FPSC animation armature for a character?

It's that somehow related with FIRESPOT bone?

Note: I ask because an animation having about 20 bones looks enough for me, in purpose of animate a low-poly character; and, based on FPSC stock animations, I simplified few FPSC atock animations to the 20 bones using Blender; all looks good back in FPSC as animations, but the weapons it's nowhere (I expected to be linked to FIRESPOT bone, but is not).

Thanks

I just need to attach the weapon to a custom optimized animation. And I can't. Nobody have an answer for my question?

Thanks for the answer, The Zoq2. It's not solving my problem but at least I have an answer.
Yes, "FIRESPOT" bone should be, but it's not working on the game with my animation. That's, I will use three times more bones/joints, to have the gun.
