Hi group.
I am new to FPSC so I apologize if I repeat typical questions in my first posts.
Via the site I found a link to \"fps-media.mk-tek\" which has great info and resources. I noticed that specifics about use rights was linked on textures, but thus far I have not seen any info on this regarding entities. Can anyone state whether entities posted on there are allowed for commercial use in game releases?
Thanks!

FPS-Media is a website by the fellow forum members BlackFox and BlueFox and contains media from these two as well as numerous others (with their permission); thus no explicit license can be given, since each user may use a different license and allows other uses for their media.

Always check whether the downloaded entities / segments / whatever contain a "Read Me" file with a license, or contact the original author if there isn't any included - just don't assume you can do what you want with the entities if there isn't any license included and you'll be fine.

I can assure that you won't ever find any copyrighted media on FPS-Media, since BlackFox and BlueFox always ask for permission, before they put anything on the website themselves.

You probably mixed things up; the HL² Zombie is available on FPS-Files, and Model Packs, as well as the Chugshot gun from FPS Creator X10 have been uploaded to that site as well some time ago, because users are allowed to upload stuff on their own, which isn't possible on FPS-Media.

Before making any accusions or spreading informations, you should actually take a look at the website beforehand and make sure that whatever you say is valid.

I've seen STALKER stuff there before, but I've never seem EAI guns on FPS-Files.

I do know the Half Life 2 zombie is there legally, at least I think it is... The Chugshot was allowed to be released with Z-Mod.

Also, answering your question (sorta), anything on the site with my name on it free for any use, unless it says otherwise in the readme, but I don't think I've ever released anything with non-commercial use only.

Omegamer: Dude, Don't post the link when you find stuff that's being pirated, Just report it to TGC, or the Artist who's stuff is being pirated.

Posting the link is just helping the pirates get the word out to those who download illegal assets.

I've contacted ErrentAI about this site. Please remove the link!!!

I think everything's been said here... but I'd feel pretty low as a friend if I didn't add my 2 cents...

Blackfox and Bluefox are straight-shooters. They do their homework and run a great site and business. If there is a limited license issue (I haven't yet found one on their site), I'm certain there would be a readme.
