I dont know if this is a well known problem, but I just installed update 7.5 for darkbasic professional and I couldnt run any projects (F5), it kept showing a windows error screen saying "A problem has caused the program to stop running" - even if I just had this code!

Has anyone else had this issue in windows vista 32 bit?

I did a bit of research online and found that this is because of a missing .dll file. - d3dx9_31.dll

If you fix this dll problem then it solves this issue. I downloaded this free program to fix the missing .dll - http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_31

Just uninstall the program when you've fixed the .dll.

works fine now!

... when all you had to do was download and install the official DirectX Web Installer from microsoft (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=directx+web+installer) to install DirectX properly and correctly.
