Hey,

I have recently gone into DBP to retrieve some older code of mine for use in GDK. Though, as soon as I open DBP it crashes after it loads a new page, or after the file is loaded.

I have tried repairing, and uninstalling/reinstalling. There is no message which explains what may be wrong. Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks

Are you running vista/7? If you are then try running the program as an administrator (under compatability tab in properties). Turning UAC off may help as well.

I have some strange issues with the dbPro IDE, not sure if they are the same issues you're having.

I think my issues come from the fact I have my projects in different locations and not in the projects folder.

I have to launch dbPro IDE from the source dbPro exe and then load my projects through the menu, if it launches from double clicking a project it crashes.

When creating a project in my own location I can't use their directory browser, I have to copy/paste the address in myself.

dbPro IDE crashes everytime I shut it down.

I am using vista, these might not be related to your problems but thought I would mention.

UAC will do exactly that. Vista and Win7 love to kill good programs.
Every time DBP tries to update or change any file in the programs folder, UAC doesn't allow it and DBP crashes.
My answer was to turn off UAC because I was tired of all of my programs crashing.
Alternatives are to run it as an admin every time or install it somewhere not controlled by UAC, such as a new "MyPrograms" folder in your root directory that you can use instead of your default programs folder.

Also, make sure that you're using the newest version if you use Win7:

Win7 SP1 broke everything. That has the fix in it.

no... running as admin didnt seem to change anything This is making me go nuts.

EDIT: I'm running Vista 32 bit. Though, I have never had an issue with it before, until recently.
