Hey, just uploaded a ton of new music tracks to my recently created Youtube page! Just posting this in case you guys are interested in listening to any of them... if not at least add a view or two lol. Dang it, this stuff is all to minimal, just a lot of samples and arps. Along with the-most-boring genre of all, dubstep...

NEEDS MORE EFFORT PUT INTO IT

I hear all these FL Samples and dBGlitch effects and common filters.

Yeah I gotta get into more complex peices.

Yet I think for my first couple samples there pretty good. Just gotta practice, and learn more.

Any ideas as to what I could improve on? Other than effort and complexity. Like music wise?

I made a list:

1. Learn to make melodies. The best trick is to take a popular/common melody, and stop halfway through the melody and continue it with a new melody. Melodies, or general chords add a much needed spice to your song.

2. Try something new, original, break your boundaries. Experiment with synth layering and not just using one instrument at a time.

3. Experiment with distortion, try creating effects that bend and create new sounds by using filters.

@DJ listened to your tracks long ago, loved 'em. But I don't think dub is the most boring genre ever

@DF dude haven't seen you around in forever! Didn't know you made music either.

Criticism:
- Too simple, like Almix said. You need more sound effects, instruments, and less repetitiveness.

Here are some of my songs for examples:
http://soundcloud.com/basux/faraway-reality - real old song, but I used a lot of sound effects (gives you an idea).

http://soundcloud.com/basux/gltich-nightmare-2011 - Dubstep song, shows you the structure of a good dub song.

http://soundcloud.com/basux/dubstep-bomb - 'nother dub song, but I wanted to show you the intro as an example of the instrument variety (this was my first dubstep song, so it's not too great though).

Your beats have too much gain on some tracks, if you can't lower it use an equalizer to smooth the sounds out.

Just add variety and work on structure, and you're good!
