Is it possible to make simple video player with dbpro? What are my options? Is it even possible?

I need a player(i need to make one) with most basic functions, like opening video files, playing them, forward and rewind.

With native commands i guess not. In the pure naked state of DBPro there is only a 'load animation' command, which i do suspect with everything DB ever did for me in mind, that it will crash even the most superb configuration above a 100Meg file.

However i just spotted that there is a load dvd animation kinda stuff, wonder how that works...

And also there is a plugin on this site for better video control, check that out.

I usually get decent results from play animation, but sometimes the sound will not work(probably codecs, the sound also doesn't work in a number of other programs such as divx player, so not surprising). You will not be able to fast forward or rewind, only slow the video down which has amusing effects lol. I haven't tried the dark video add on as of yet, but I suspect it would be far more versatile than standard commands. I have had files of 350 mb plus working fine here though. I don't think animation size is a problem in the main.

you can make dvd player but for only normal dvd files. unfortunately, you are unable to play a DVD movie because it has start software which you will need to make a plug in using C++ with MFC.
