Hey, two different (related) questions:
1.) When loading assets, it's usually better to compress them and load them from the compressed file. Is there a way to do that in Dark GDK?
2.) How do I change the application icon that appears both in the top left of the window, and in windows explorer? This may not be a Dark GDK question, as I've often heard it can be done in Visual Studio, but I haven't been able to get it to work yet.
Thanks!

2) You have to include a resource file with the icon in it.
Write this in a file like "Resource.rc":

And put that file into your Visual Studio project, then compile.

Ok, that worked for the icon in windows explorer but strangely the default application icon still appears in the top left of the window.
Anybody else have ideas? Some help on #1 would also be appreciated, though I guess loading from file regularly works just fine.

1) By default it's not possible, unless you make your own file formats. Oneka recently published some code that can help much in that direction, look here.

Or there is this commercial application.
