Hey. I've been looking for models everywhere (as i'm not that good at animation). Anyway, I was wondering

a) if i purchase a model pack, will they work in xna? (animated, skinned etc.

b) are there specials where I can purchase large groups of model packages at a discounted price? (i noticed there are over 50 model packs)

Regards,
Wolf

a) What is XNA?

b) Yeah! There are discounts and "bonanaza deals" from time to time

Microsoft XNA ('XNA's Not Acronymed'[1]) is a set of tools with a managed runtime environment provided by Microsoft that facilitates computer game development and management. XNA attempts to free game developers from writing "repetitive boilerplate code"[2] and bring different aspects of game production into a single system.[3] The XNA toolset was announced March 24, 2004, at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, California. A first Community Technology Preview of XNA Build was released on March 14, 2006. XNA Game Studio 2.0 was released in December 2007, followed by XNA Game Studio 3.0 on October 30, 2008

Yeah. xna is just 'yet another' tool for developing games these days.
anyway, yeah I was considering buying these model packs, if they worked in xna.

basically any .fbx or .x works with xna. (plus more depending on the available content processors/importers)

Bespoke,

I wouldn't worry too much about what file format you purchase, you may have a bit of a run around searching for the right program but there are importers and exporters for just about every file format there is. Just be careful about not messing up the UV Maps when moving from program to program.

I'd assume so.
I mean...I kind of...do sometimes.
