Ey up ladies n gents...

I decided to post this here rather than the FPS Chat boards as I wanted developer and mod opinions, so apologies if it shouldn't be in this forum.

I will be purchasing DBP Studio in the next 2 weeks as I have been busy finishing projects and contracts so I can give myself 3 weeks time off to take a look over the FPSC stuff.

I just wanted a quick heads up in prep for it, I have been actively following FPSC since I first got my EA copy and after a 3 year break I return to see major improvements in the engine with 118, I also see a massive improvement of mods available and I think we all know Project Blue was certainly a pioneer for future mod development. However, I am still miffed at the Multiplayer side of things.

I can't understand why all of the MOD developers (some of them have already done a really good job) they completely shy away from the MP side, I can only assume it is something to do with the code?

If it is, what is it?

I even went as far as posting a thread on the feature creep boards offering a contract for someone experienced in DBP to produce an MP mod specific to only 1-2 features, this was a few months back and not a single email.

I have no option now but to take a look myself, with many years experience in programming (including BASIC) and with 3 weeks to spare I am more than prepared to dive in at the deep end with this one.

I look forward to hearing from you guys!

Regards

Danny
