Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.

You will hear many differing opinions here concerning the worthiness and ability of FPS Creator to make a "good" game, but here are my basic answers:

Quote: "can an fpsc game be published to proper gaming clients like steam?"

Yes.
Quote: "will they accept it as an indie game if it is good?"

Yes.
Quote: "or they won't because it's made in fpsc?"

If it's a good game, they don't care what engine was used.

Brian.

Thanks but don't you have to implement the steam engine in it or something?

@The Noob Protection the only thing steam does is puts your exe and files on there server then the user just downloads it to there pc nothing needs to be done for it other then make the game

Yes. They need you to implement the Steam engine because it allows for the game to be launched from the client, but not by the person themselves.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

@crispex - Am I right in assuming you could get around this by wrapping the game's executable in another? IE: Steam Code / Execute Game?

@The Noob Protection
Unless you have finished making your game, I don't think you need to worry about it being ready for Steam just yet
