Hi Sirs & Ladies,

i´m a total newb with fpsc, scripting and making games, experimenting the last (first) week with effects to see if i can get the look i wanna have for my project with fpsc.

so because i´m sometimes a stupid guy, i delete my original copy of the post-bloom.fx

can someone help me out and post the original .fx please?

another thing is the fog.

is there any method in v118 (beta17) to change distance to player and "fog-out" segments & entities in the fog totaly (as good old turok-fog ). when i activate fog background is blured out, but not segments and entities. its just about the look, i dont need to not render unseen models ...yet.

some other things becloud my fpsc-experience. i think its not explicit about scripting, but i hope you can help me.

why the build-editor sets solution back to 1024*768 everytime i activate level or build game, even when i changed build-setup and setup.ini to 1920x1080 before? or isit max resolution for fpsc? when i see some of your projects or even newer model packs then i dont think so.

i hope you can help me with this.
sorry for spelling mistakes, my english is a bit rusty.

You can get what you need here.
http://fpscreatorengine.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/

its under the effectbank folder.

I suggest getting the FPI edit pad under the script section.
Not only will it help you start scripting. Most every condition and action have the meanings in them. On the last page is the latest conditions and action updated till 118.15.

Both the community guides are a great asset in becomming familiar with the engine and how to use it. They also have countless samples and tutorials.

Also the search feature is useful in the forums. Try the google one if your not finding what you want.

At the top in each topic section of the forum is some stickied stuff. Lots of great info and media for free to help get you started.

When you want to change anything in the setup.ini file, make sure that the FPSC program is shut down. Same with the one for the compiled game. Change the settings, save, then run the application.

Welcome!

thank you for the link, myke.

editpad is in use and guides are running through my brain, learned a lot the last days and more or less draw together many basic scripts in the way i need them, and solved the problems described above for my type of design.

is there a possibility to get basic fog effect on entities & segments without killing other fx-effects on it? i get glass-effects done with deleting cubent.fx and instead using alphas on the texture, but it would be great if illu-fx would work with fog together on objects, but i dont get it if there is a way to do this. scripts are okay, but fx-data is far beyond my understanding of these things at the time
on segments i could manage it with building additional segment-parts for highlights with the illu-fx, but on entities there is only 1 mesh and 1 texture so this would not work. i don´t know how to get fog&illu done with them. anyone know?
