Anyone having a problem downloading the plug-in from the software download page? I purchased Dark Imposters and it shows on my software list as something to download but the link fails. Been trying for 2 days now with no success.

And trying to email support I get errors on the page script so I can't send anything to support about this issue. Sorry to have to post this here, but I'm anxious to get into it. I have big asteriod fields to build

Thanks, let me know if it works with tree party in case anyone asks in the future.

The animated models need to be instanced at the moment, although this may change in the future, its due to the way DBPro stops updating animations when the objects are hidden, which they are when they are imposters.

On the video, all the distant characters whose frame rate is lower are imposters while the closer characters are real objects. The frame rate is lower because the imposters are only being updated 4-5 times a second. This is something you can set yourself, although the more you update the imposters the less cpu you will save, so it's a balance between fooling the player while achieving a good frame rate.

This is the first time I have heard of this issue, I presume you have downloaded products from TGC before?

I will contact TGC for you.

@LightningSky

The download has just been tested using Google Chrome and it works fine.

What browser are you using? And are you running with latest updates.

Perhaps try with a different browser and see if you have any luck.

Thanks for the replies. yes to downloading software, I have purchased and downloaded most of TGC's products. It's wierd though, none of the links currently work for me. I'm using I.E 8. I added the TGC site to my trusted sites and then set the security to LOW. Not sure what's up, but I can't download anything from this site at the moment. None of the download links work for me.

When I try to download I get the little window that shows XT_DOWNLOAD_CONTENT.PHP and it just sits there for about 30 seconds and then fails with the following error:

Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet Site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. yada..yada..yada

Any thoughts? I've cleared my cache and temp files just incase you were thinking that

Thanks for the assistance!

An update to my previous post. Just downloaded the free FPSCreator app so I know I'm able to download some stuff from this site.

Sorry to bog this forum post down with issues. I'll try to contact support and see what's up.

Major bummer!

Hopefully support will address this issue for you, I don't have any control over that side of things.

I would try with a different browser if I was you, I hear chrome is the new top dog although I have not tried it yet.
