Detailed!
You first need to buy fps creator x9 or x10
and an FPSC Toolbox Version 1.1 or something else will grab it and make 3d models
I think so!
What programs you need!
MilkShape 3D
Make Entities From X Files
Entity Workshop V2
FPSC Toolbox Version 1.1
SignsIII
UVMapper
and more
............or make games.

Yeah there are def. different avenues to go here.

My plan is to create an audience by making a decent quality game and giving it away for free. While I allow the audience to grow I'll be working on part 2 (or another game?) and then selling it for a small fee.

I've read some stories here about people getting on Steam or contacting publishers. These are a possibility as well.

You could always promote a game you'd wish to sell by making a demo of it. If they really like the demo and want a full version they'd let you know. Also, if you do plan to sell a game you've made make sure not to price it too high. I'd personally say no more than 30 dollars unless it cost you more than that to make (purchase of textures, models and etc)

I gotta agree with Teabone. But if you're going to go anywhere above $10 I would personally say to make sure it's top-notch work. Just my opinion, though.
