Is there some freature in DBP that allows me to take a snapshot of a 3D scene? I am working on an art project for a business and this would speed up the process IMMENSELY.

You can grab an image of the screen using the get image command.

Here's a little example I made.

I assumed at first that you literally meant saving a file with the 3d data. Do you just mean a screenshot?

As all we know we can make a copy of the screen with GET IMAGE command. We can get a real 3D snap shot just geting two images moving a little bit the camera for second snap and making a red and blue image to see with red and blue glasses

You could capture a sphere texture, which would allow you to rotate the screenshot, look around the scene with the mouse maybe.

It can take ages to capture the screenshot, but I have done this, and it is pretty cool. I used it to capture a big terrain and skybox for use as a skysphere texture, gives really nice continuity. I have some code somewhere if you want to take a look.

I have some quicker code for capturing a skyBOX which I have previously posted. I'm using it in a current WIP...

I'll try to simplify the code if you're interested?
