I saw this thread, and was wondering if I can still get a copy of that mesh.

Thanks

Making someone's day a little better because of one of my models means a lot to me.

I'd recommend doing his character creator toolset instead. Much better-looking!

The current version of makehuman outputs a game quality mesh too

Makehuman is a very useful tool, but I have yet to find a simple way to rig a makehuman model for FPSC.

it's no harder than rigging any other mesh. I was just offering a free alternative to what the OP was looking for.

@DragonEagle,

It may not be harder, but it's not any easier

Usually the makehuman meshes are t-model also. So far, my models animations are "jagged" on the arms and stuff. Haven't cleaned that up yet.

All i need is a very basic human. No muscles, no face details, just a primitive person.

After you install, edit the proxy.cfg file so it exports the low poly meshes

If you export as obj it exports a file called whatever you named it plus a forsaken version which is a low polycount version anyway.

Depending on the importance of your character, I use the Rorkimaru mesh which has an even lower poly count than the forsaken mesh

Edit: Just tried this... I managed to put the hands from the forsaken mesh onto the Rokimaru Mesh with only a marginal jump in the poly count. From 1476 to 2208 Triangles versus 3662 Triangles for the full Forsaken mesh

Have you tried to decimate teh model?

Decimating the model in Blender can also help. It seems to do a pretty good job without a loss in quality.

2208 isn't bad and that was after I added details in
