With the nice weather, I've been out at the parks taking lots of pictures. I have several pics I have to edit, but here's a rough sneak-peak (the tree trunk tiles also):

The actual texture sizes are up to 3648x2736. The first one I saved as a DDS with 4 mipmap levels, but it took up 50mb! So I'll stick to PNG for the final images.

I'm beginning to see why people charge for these kinds of textures, it takes forever! I spend a minimum 1 hour per leaf. I even got a decent duck yesterday when I was walking around a wetlands park.

Currently Finished:
tree_stem_01 - 3546 x 2595
leaf_02 - 2560 x 2560
leaf_03 - 1200 x 1600
leaf_04 - 2428 x 4096
leaf_05 - 972 x 1900
leaf_06 - 3648 x 2736
flower_yellow - 384 x 384
tree_bark - 3648 x 2736 (tileable on one axis)
bridge - 4096 x 336
duck - 1084 x 1084

Looking good Phaelax and that is a good picture of a duck. Keep up the good but slow work

Here's a quick 3D model with one of the textures standing next to another project I'm working on.

I tried something new, to hopefully reduce the shine on the leaves from the camera. I scanned the two leaves below using my my scanner. It makes it much quicker to cut them out also.

You can view leaf_02(camera) and leaf_04(scanner) in their full resolution. The scanned version was done in 600dpi. Let me know if the scanned version is high enough quality. If not, I'll go back to the long way.

Yes this is a credible website. I know I've seen people on here before who said they were teachers, but I don't know from which schools. Typically, I think they've been highschool teachers more so than college professors. You might want to talk to someone who lives in Europe, as I don't even have a clue how European schools work. And you should have asked this in the off-topic board as this is what someone might consider hijacking the thread.

I have more plants to do still, it's been raining and then I had my alumni dinner last night. Might get one or two more leaves done tonight.

I'm not too happy with the 11mb tree bark texture, but the rest are pretty good I think.

Here's a zip file containing all the images I listed in the 2nd post above. It's a 41mb download.

I figured since I won't be able to work on the remaining textures for several months, I'd put up what was already done. I just wanna see this ant game when you're done, I've seen you mention it in other posts too.
