I've seen some peopel have made custom HUD's, and I would quite like to do the same...only problem is, I have no idea where to start

OK, maybe I should have given you a bit more detail.

To define a custom HUD there is a tutorial on page 34 of the community guide part 1, revision 3.

To create a custom HUD using GIMP, there is a tutorial on page 140 of the community guide part 1, revision 3.

To create a custom numerical HUD using GIMP, there is a tutorial on page 35 of the community guide part 2, revision 2.

MATTO225 i think what CHEDO80 , is talking about the offical fpsc guide which is locate inside were ever u install on your hard drive.

for example :C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\Docs

ooooh thank you! sorry @Ched80 i thought you were reffering to the community video guide for some reason! stupid me! thank you both of you, i have photoshop, so i guess that ought to work as well as GIMP

Here is another FREE program for your artwork that might be a more familiar layout than GIMP, it is call Paint.NET
They advertise GIMP 2 there, so make sure you click on the right Download link.
