OK. I'm math stupid, and half 3D stupid . I need help coming up with code for the camera to not only follow behind an object (3rd person), but to tilt up or down when the object turns up or down. Am I remotely clear, or just totally a stooge? All help is welcome!

it's not really hard...
place the camera where the player is, rotate it so it'd have the same angle as the player (x and y. z isn't important...) then use move camera -100
-100 being the distance between the player and the camera. Then you add collision detection, and ground height detection.

I feel like a moron sometimes... After programming at my real job, my brain freezes up sometimes... Thanks!
