Greetings,

I was hoping someone could suggest the best way (aside from buying a new system) to improve the fps in my levels. On average Iam at between 10-20 fps. I am runnisg the wasp mod for the 1.118 upgrade. I have a ok graphics card, so I have been told. I have have used a lot of the suggestions to improve fps in my map designs i.e. lots of turns, doors, transparent ceilings for outdoorish maps. I use the [] keys for the wire frame but I can't find anything that explains what the colors mean or what causes parts of the wire frame to turn colors. My system specs are:

2.20 GHz Intel Core2 Duo Processor T6600
Microprocessor Cache 2MB L2 Cache
Memory 4096MB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Memory Max 8192MB
Video Graphics Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Video Memory Up to 1695MB
Hard Drive 320GB (7200RPM

Yes it's a laptop.

Also I purchased the metro theater pack for the water effects however they turn up blue. I turned the shader effect on and the become transparent however my enemies become either black or really badly lit. Is there a way to fix that so I can keep my transparent water but till have normal looking enemies?

nope, with some serious tweaking both soft and hardware my laptop (which has the same GMA) Dell Inspiron 1110 (which is a netbook) I managed to achieve 30-40fps on an outdoor map.

Start with your Intel graphics config and knock all the detail levels down, including AA and AS. Then proceed to setup.ini (in your built game, not test) and knock all the settings to lowest, FORCE 640x480 resolution by using width/height and set the setup.ini to read-only. Walla!

Ok so I am somewhat ignorant when it comes to this stuff. Quickly hoe do I do that to my intel config? Second where exactly is the setup.ini file is there a Quasi tutorial on how to get there. I can fin a set up file and the height and with are under the gamedebug section is this what I need to change?
