Hi there,

If I want to give the player a new weapon in a new level that replaces a weapon in the same slot from a previous level, is there a way to do this?
Is it possible to get rid of/set down a weapon and in a new level pick up a new one for the same slot?

Well... in case this is helpful to others, I found some good ideas and implementations for weapons handling by searching 'weapon swapping'. This wording hadn't occurred to me when first posting so maybe it will lead some others to find the help needed as well.

Hey cds, Wasp mod has commands that would allow this to be done quite easy. It also has alot of other interesting features along with a noticable performance boost.

Also I just realized your not looking for just weapon swap. So you want the player to start a new level and automatically swap the weapons once the level is started?

I recently learned to sleep with my eyes open. ..... God am I tired

Hi Shakleford,

Thank you for your input. I finally found a command in a deep search for weapon swap. I just needed some control over dropping weapons.
The easiest way for it to work for my game will be do dump current weapons at level winzone and then pick up new items in new level.

I am interested in Wasp, PB, Air, etc. Not sure which might work best.
Truly I am happy with V1.18 minus a few render shader issues and slow performance. I would love the performance boost but I don't know if I would lose essential 1.8 things in the trade-off.

Any input much appreciated!
BTW- I noticed two others requesting this and never an answer- when I think performance boost I think faster movement. When upping player speed, the footstep sound becomes ridiculous sounding. I cannot find a way to slow the footfall pace for the player. If any specific mod does what 1.18 does and makes movement faster with all shaders then Im interested!
