is it possible to have dark basic output to two displays, a different image to both ? ( like a nintendo ds ? )

I want have each screen show an image from independant cameras. The reason why, is I want to output a game to my VR headset, and I want to get the 3D perecption correct.

Also, when DB is set to display a screen res, say of 640x480x16bit, does it actually set the graphics card to that, or does it just emulate it on the graphics settings for windows?

Thanks in Advance

Thanks for that!

Thing is, unless I`m a blind reader, lol, I cand find any reference on how to program it?

my VR headset is a `Virtuality Visette Pro`, from back in the 1990s, or for younger people, check out the `visette45` for an updated spec version, but it looks the same.

So due to the fact that all I have is the headset, and not any driver hardware, I`d need to produce the two images within software, hence the original question.

I must say though, I am not sure if `todays` VR headset displays are both run together via different images, or is one image sent that flicks between left & right eye, sending the sync to the headset?

Any ideas?
Thanks again!

This is a better article. I used this on an FPSC level, combined with an explosion using the Cloth and Particles pack. The effect just using stereoscopic blue/red glasses was stunning, although my explosion was more like popcorn than fire!

your graphics driver may be able to take care of it even if it uses two screens.

What is your graphics card model and the model number of your headset?

Hi,

I have 2 pcs...

Main : Nvidia GeForce 8600GT - win7

Second PC : not entirely sure - it just stopped booting! lol I think its a Radeon, slightly lower spec than main pc. this is the Pc that I`m trying to connect the head set too. Win XP

one headset is an OLD Victormaxx, Cybermaxx, win 98 days!
I cant get this one powered up yet for some reason.. working on it.

The other headset I have is a virtuality visette pro. No drivers are available for this, as it was completely custom for arcade gaming machines, which had half the hardware to run the headset.

Now I do know that both these headsets are designed to run off one VGA signal. As I cant power the cybermaxx nor have the knowledge of the virtuality one, I plan to make my own ( somehow ).

I will recycle the optics, use new screens if I cant use the current ones, and as for tracking, either a bluetoothed `Wiimote`, or a `sixaxis` PS3 controller.

Thats the reason I need to know if I can output to two sceens from DBP,as if I make my own, thats how I`ll have to feed the images. I do want different images, to help the 3D perception. Each with the same image will not be perfect for that.

I also have a major project going on, I`m working on a robot, that I want to control its head via VR headsets, and I see what the bot will see, so I`ll be having two video feeds into it anyway.

Any ideas ?
