FPSC Classic Models and Media / How to texture a model

OK guys

I now this sounds noobie but i am stuck on how to put a texture onto this model i made in blender.( see attachment, IF YOU WANT TO USE IT FOR YOU OWN STUFF JUST ASK MY PERMISSION OK? )
I have exported it to .x which i know is grey. I have unrapped it but it's just a load of mess any help.

P.S. . the file is in blender

heres the basic workflow

1 make the model

2 uvw map the model (if done correctly all parts of your model should be laid out flat on one 512x512,1024x1024 etc texture sheet )

3 open up the texture sheet in your image editing program & paint or paste in the texture you want.

4 assign the finished texture to your model in your 3d modeling program then export the model to .x

5 use one of the many programs available to make your model fpsc ready
