FPSC Classic Product Chat / Help! asking for X10 update

Hi everyone.
I installed FPS and my other half tried putting in one of the update patches for me. It keeps coming up with a window asking for direct X10 or later but I am not able to run X10.
I uninstalled everything and deleted any remaining files that was left on the computer but yet again it says I need to update to X10 or later.

Any help would be great as really wanted to start making games but can\'t as the FPS won't even start.

Iam using windows XP, SP2.
It works without one of the update patches in but once I put the update in it say's I need Direct X10.

wrong, I put on xp sp2 fpscx10 (but with some changes, I do not recommend, because you do not have effects on xp )but still want to put on xp fpscx10, more details [email protected]

I don't have the X10 version of FPS. I have the normal FPS version.
A update patch I tried and my other half tried to put in makes the game say I need direct X10 to run the normal FPS.Sorry if I was not clear.

Hi,

This thread "After Update to version 1.16, needs DirectX 10" only has 6 posts. The last one should solve your problem.

I already have direct X9.0c should I try installing it again?
Thats the message that it comes up with.
I install v1.6 patch and it still comes up with that message.Also tried the next patch and still it comes up with that.

Thanks for the help.
If can't get it to work next try I will not bother as I had messing around trying to get things to work.

The download on the bottom of that thread will only update you directx 9c drivers. Others have experienced this problem when updating FPSC to version 1.16 including myself and updating the drivers has solved the problem.

I clicked on the link in the other thread and I can't display the page.
Other half repaired the files and put in the V1.15 patch and it seems to work now.
