I'm aware that such an application already exists, however I'm bored and have nothing better productive to show at the moment,so I started doing this.I used a generally different method than Lee's application (Or SceneCommander's).
What can you do :
- Select a model in .X or .Dbo format via file dialog (open)
- Toggle on/off the model to make limb selecting much easier
([E] key)
- Rotate the object(Y axis) along with the limbs of course
([R] key)
- View the polygon count on the triangulated mesh
From 1.1a and up :
- Toggle on/off the object's wireframe
([W] key).Easier to determine in which category the limbs are(head, arm, leg, etc.)
- Change the application's resolution/window size via config.lmb(can be opened with notepad). If the first two rows are set to 0,then the application will run in maximized mode and take the native desktop resolution.
New in 1.2 Alpha *
- User controlled anti-aliasing (Fixes the text cut-off error). Can be set in config.lmb (last value)
- Added 500x500 unit grid for sense of scale as well as guidance. Can be toggled On/Off by pressing the
[G] key.
- Added ability to Export data structures for the limbs and set limbs to their respective groups (1-6).The user just has to left-click on a limb and a panel will open up to set the limb's section. Each section has a specific color to make it easy on the user(recognition purposes).
- Added 2 unnecessary help pages (About and How to).
- Added ability to move the camera Up/Down by holding the right mouse button and dragging the mouse up/down.
