We are Arbiter, a band with a back-story.
We are conceptualizing a game based on it.
We want people who are good with FPSC to make it for us.
We are kind of poor though. We'd love to pay but we can't afford too much!
There is no deadline, this isn't a "hurry!" project at all.
I've done a lot of reading up on FPSC before this post.
We are shooting for a game that says "wow a band made a game based on their story, it might not look the greatest but that's just sweet they found a way to put us into their story on a budget!"
We know and understand fully that FPSC is not a program capable of game magic. I actually really like the limitations FPSC provides because otherwise anything better than it would be overkill as far as i'm concerned. I want an amateur game that's fun and action-adventurey, not Call of Duty 7 or anything.
I roughly planned the levels according to the model packs available. No need for any intense custom work unless someone wants to contribute something for free by chance.
I am hoping we'd only have to pay the people doing the tedious dirty work like level design, gating, lighting, AI, and making it an executable and all that lovely stuff i have no idea about.
Other than that, i'm sure there'd be many of people willing to contribute and help the project along for no cost? Like I said, we really don't have all that much to fork.
I just wanted to see what the community thought of this prospect. If we've got some takers who wanna make our dream of this game come true, let us know, and I will polish my rough draft of the level description summaries to see what you all think.
