FPSC Classic Models and Media / iporting a vehicle

To any one that can assist me importing models.

Firstly i can make walls roof floors(buidings) and have them work ok using programs like Entity workshop and segment creator and Firma,

But i have no proper way of how to add my contents that is not a wall or building structure.

I have tried to get it to work using Model Maker 2.0.5 but when testing scene in fpsc it crashes.

The model was made in 3d max and exported to X file format using the Panda plugin with no changes to any of the settings.

Could some one tell me how you get your contents to work please

try using entity workshop, you can load the model in, apply the texture, set the material and scale then export it into fpsc.

how many polies in that model, to many polies can cause a crash.

My Polygon counts is 37.646
Do you no how to find the fpsc polygon limit, i will have a search in fourms in the mean time,

As for entity workshop, i have tried but the model when imported looks a write mess and also very large, i will have a try at some setting on the export of 3d max, but im very new to max and its a struggle for me at the moment, but i will gett their.

Also if i load it up as an X file in frag motion it show's alright and also in blender too.

So will i have to scale it to fitt into the 6 square platform/Tiles of entity workshop,

I can upload the file here for all to have a proper look at and see what the best way is to manage it.

Ok i found what i was doing wrong to get it into Entity workshop,
3d Max exports x2 DirectX files and i was trying to use the largest one as it made more sense to me, so now i use the small one and it displays ok in Entity Workshop.

But now i get a crash when trying to use it in Fpsc, it shows up in the Entity list and so i click on it and place it on the ground and then it crashes.
(Runtime Error 7018 could not load 3d object at line 27713)

So i will have to find out what that crash is all about.
Ohwell back to the drawing board!

Wow 37.646 polies, thats your problem. characters top around 3500 polies I think.

@Zwarte Piet, you were right! i reduced poly's to a working limit and now is working in fpsc fine,

well apart from a few collision problems when actualy in side landing craft, as you can walk through the sides and strait into the wate

but thats a minor glitch at the moment, and will work on that problem later on.

i supose you can insert large buildings into entity workshop and will trans for ok, i meaning in the height value realy.

I'am not GOD but i can make you see again by taking my fingers out of your eyes and i can make you walk again by taking your beer away, but if you take my beer you will not walk again

I don't supose a Moederator could ammend the tile of this post, as i miss spelt IMPORTING wrong! DoH! so could iporting be chaged please.
