It seems my original thread was locked so I'm starting up a new one, just a place to dump any media I've created and or want crits on.

Here's a new FPSC free media project I'm starting; 10 Characters in 10 Weeks. Making this one a bit easier to work with and I plan to take requests for the final 9 characters. Each one will be rigged to the FPSC basic rig.

Here's the wip of the first character, 47mins in:

Then finally I've found time to uv-map my spitfire model that I was originally doing for the 3d contest several months ago...better late then never:

Are you creating an animated .gif for the props, in-game? Nice work Josh.

A trick I picked up is to use a plane as the prop and give it a blurred texture (with alpha), maybe some speed lines. Then in-game you rapidly hide and show the plane at a constant speed while slowly rotating it counter clockwise. Makes for a really nice effect.

Looking good as always josh!

A tip for animating, use support loops.

*check Dl*

Try it when animating, the pinch area at the back of the knee keeps the animations smooth and stops the mesh overlapping on itself. Also happens to save polies, more for less eh?

I had a proper Gif animation of this from the person who told me it but i cant find it for the life of me :S

I'd like to see a video of the animation with the prop/plane that you are talking about.

Your character looks certainly awesome!

But something is odd about the wireframe, I'm not sure what it is

His limbs are 6 sided, so it might seem weird I guess.
