1. Is it possible to play a movie with some sort of alpha channel?

2. Say I have a movie file that is 120 frames, is it possible to tell DBPro to loop the movie between frames 30-60?

1 and 2... if you're using the animation commands, no. You could play only the frames you want if you make it an animated sprite (CREATE ANIMATED SPRITE) but that would entail making one large image of all the frames which would be annoying (maybe impossible) if it's a full screen animation. To make a specific color act like it's transparent you can use SET IMAGE COLORKEY (again only working with images and not the animation commands).
