Ok, I have a game level that I have contructed in Blender. I knew early on that I wanted my static physics structures to all be simple convex meshes, so I constructed my level that way.

Is there any way to enumeriate the varius meshes in the .x file (Thank you guy who made the much improved .x exporter!) so I can perform the Dark Basic physics bits on them as they come into DarkBasic?

The individual meshes will be "limbs" in DBPro. Have a look through the various commands involving limbs, including the perform checklist and system commands.

Two things to be aware of though - DBPro seems to order the limbs somewhat differently from the order given in the X file and the names might not all be matched correctly. Do a bit of experimenting with simple models first to see how it works.

Ok I have it working now. I get that the ROOT object in that list/array that enumerate from PERFORM CHECKLIST FOR OBJECT LIMBS
is a container or parent for all my other items, but just out of academic curiosity, what is the blank unnamed element?

I don't think the root object concept applies in all cases. For example, an Advanced Terrain object is split into several sections ("limbs") and limb 0 is the first section.

I suspect it applies to objects that have been created in a modelling package designed for creating a heirarchy of boned limbs. In such cases a root limb might be created by default even if you have only one actual limb or if there is no real heirarchy. If you're working with text based X files you can easily check the contents in a text editor such as WordPad and see the heirarchy yourself - look for sections beginning "Frame" (I think - don't seem to have an example handy).

At least you've got it working.
