Fun topic in IRC. Lets post about it here, shall we? I'll post what I'd do as soon as I think of it.

How much ham could a hamster stir, if a hamster could stir ham?

Marked this as offensive,,,it may turn into a flaimbait, but some people have no God, so it may be offensive to them.

Me? I would help world hunger problems, cure diseases ETC. This would cause a large problem tho - population increases.

RPGamer-- why not just make the world 25% larger then? Frankly I'm sick and tired of not having any fronteirs. I'd expand the earth (and the solar system with it) to about 175% of its original size... and add a vast network of caves and tunnels that spanned the earth

I would force all these people to live their lives in fear of going to hell, and make them go to church services on, oh, let's say Sunday, and they would have to sing and pray to me. And if I feel like it, I might even answer their petty requests, but I'll also be too busy thinking about how I'm separate from them because I'm perfect and their evil even though I invented good and evil. And the only thing that connects us will be...um, I guess I'll have a son named Jesus or something. Basically the world would be one giant game to me, and I waste these creatures lives making them wonder whether or not I exist by not giving them sufficient evidence and making them rely on blind faith.

Haha j/k, that would be pretty mean, I'd be a mean God, man everyone should be glad there's no religion that has a god like that.

@Hzence: I guess it's fear that makes you a non-believer, then?

Quote: "Me? I would help world hunger problems, cure diseases ETC. This would cause a large problem tho - population increases"

Theory is, without hunger and disease, the world population would decrease. Think about why poorer countries have larger families, and soon it all makes sense.

Might want to think about giving them jobs that don't render them unable to work after 20 years and pay a fair ammount so they don't have to have lots of children to go out to work just to eat as well.

I wouldn't exist...

And if I did exist, who's god would I be? The Catholic god, Allah, some other?

God and Religion are merely humanity's way of dealing with the fear of death...

If there is a god, prove it to me.

sorry if I have offended anyone but these are my thoughts.
Peace,

Asuming you mean a Chirstian god, I would make it law that anyone who used my name for their own ends (including those who work under my name) shall be crucified, gutted, and left there for 3 weeks, then they may be allouds to die and be sent to hell.

I think that would destory half of the Chirstian churches out there.

'God and Religion are merely humanity's way of dealing with the fear of death...

If there is a god, prove it to me.'

So many people are taking it religiously.

Look at this way.

There is currently no god.

But you have become one.

I think it's pretty stupid to say 'i wouldn't exist' myself, I mean, good job genius, someone gave you godhood and your first act was to commit suicide

watch your step fur-ball!

I didn't say I would commit suicide, I said I would not exist - no matter how you want to word it, the concept of god is moot, null, void, nothing - making me god would make me nothing.

I don't know if you where made god then god would exist.
Then again if you are right we should all be carefull of people asking us if we want to be god. If we say yes they will proced to make us no longer exist

This thread should be deleted as over half the planet's population believes in a god or at least, a "supriem being". If you think about it, chances are, over half the people to visit this forum will feel offended.
Quote: "If there is a god, prove it to me."

Can you prove he doesn't exist?
Also, where did you come from? Don't say monkeys, 'cause what most people fail to see is that that is a THEORY, thus it is NOT proven.

TKF please don't tell me you are one of those "Creationists". If you are then that's good for you and you are entitled to your beliefs but I, on the other hand, believe in the big-bang and evolution - and yes I believe we evolved from chimps....

like I said earlier, I am an empiricist, you need to prove things to me with science - especially if I am going to put my life in some "god's" hands, he had better darn well exist

Sorry, no blind faith here.

Perhaps this thread should be titled:

"If you had the power of a god, what would you do?"

Then I would:
1) Ban NWC Omega from using DB ever again for sparking a religious discusion (insert sinister laugh here).
2) Solve the universal mystery of why I always loose a sock every time I use the washing machine.
3) Find those responible for inventing those stupid crappy milk cartons you can't open properly and strike them down with a big lighting bolt.
4) If I'm having a bad day, screw up things by making the Earth spin the other way.
5) Give William Shatner the power to act for once.
6) If I'm having a really bad day, screw up things by making the Earth spin the other way and make every one look like Homer Simpson.
7) Scribble my name on the surface of the moon so it can be seen from Earth.
8) Scribble my name on the surface of the Earth so it can be seen from the Moon.
9) Re-arrange the constellations so they show characters from Star Wars (or any other character on special request or by a radio phone poll).
10) Make DBPro bug free. (Hmmm I wonder why I didn't make that top of the list?)

Some people just can't resist taking jokes seriously, apparently. This is getting nasty fast. Me, I think a lock is in order.

And just for future reference-- yes, I am 'one of those creationists'. Athiests and agnostics do not rule computers, game development, or these forums, so please try to keep superiority complexes out of it. I respect your (lack of, if you prefer) beliefs, and in turn you should respect mine.

Hehe, my first flamebait thread, first warning thread, and probably first thread to be locked all three are records that this thread will hold.

Well, I know you all have your own religion, you believe in different gods, but to keep this from going too far into flamebait, what if you were the god. Everybody worshiped you, and you were ruler of everything. What would you do? That would probably not be too much of a flamebait question (less than it is now).

Quite ironic that "existence" keeps cropping up...without religion, the chances are none of us would exist at this stage in the world's life.

It's also interesting to see how many take a thread like this as an opportunity to be offensive. It doesn't have to be offensive, but topics like this seem to bring out the worst in people. It's so easy to criticise what you haven't tried, and don't care to try. If some of the people who have bad-mouthed other people's beliefs in here actually knew half of what they claim to know, they would realise just how dumb, uninformed and off the mark their rants were.

Just to clarify...I'm not offended, but I only hope you haven't offended others.
