I have FPSC x9, but then I was wondering what sort of computer specifications (I mean like ram, graphics card and that) to run fps creator as well as it can. No lag and those sort of things.

Look at my specs in my signature, they can pull off 60FPS in most games/maps. I've played very detailed games too and can still manage 40FPS. You might want a better graphics card than mine though...

well, fpsc produces his own lags with total ignorance of the hardware^^

have the same pc as exu, runs fine in all matters, even for more intense progs (look at photoshop, hd-cutting in premiere or fx-vids with aftereffects, then fpsc is a real small one when you talk about performance eaters )

Not necessarily, I use a toshiba laptop which is fairly weak, I'll get a large, decent level with a framerate of around 20-30, where as on my large computer I get 40-60 on the same map.

My new rig is running an intel i7 processor, 8 gigs of ram and an ATI Radeon HD 6770. I also run Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have put as much as I can on an outdoor level with water, bloom post processing and 15 MP53 soldiers and I cannot get it to drop below 58 fps. I'm quite happy with it. I actually ran the level and recorded it with fraps and it still stayed a solid 54 fps.

Yea and what framerate do you get with that stuff? 5-15 -____- Those are not the maxiumum specs, you can go higher than that... and how the hell could you run fpsc with 16mb of ram, you dumb?

Really as long as your happy with it, you can get away with any decent machine. Just remember you might have to come up with some creative tactics to handle some of the more memory or graphics demanding processes. I used this laptop I'm typing on for a while and it has the intel integrated graphics. The best I could ever do was 35 fps with no entities. I have been able to design my last 5 levels for my game on it. I had to do it without bloom or depth of field activated, but in the end it has served me well. Just because you're maybe not running the best pc, don't let that discourage you.

@Exu Corporations, yeah next time I fire that big beauty up, I'll try to remember to upload it.

Exu, That was not neccessary, nor are comments like that ever called for.

Hulk,

I have 4G RAM, AMD Athlon II 5200 2.7 Ghz and an ATI HD 4550 low profile and normally have 50-60 FPS on my maps.

What do you mean not necessary? It true, how can you run FPSC on 16mb of ram? And how much detail do you guys have in your maps? I have like one big room with 2 floors and it has maybe 30 entities in it and my computer gets 50-60fps. How can you get 50-60 on a 4550? Just wondering of course, im not trying to be rude or anything im just saying what's on my mind

I've gotten by with only 1 GB of ram rnning on an older hp laptop and get FPS rates anywhere from 28-40, but mostly 33 even with detailed outdoor maps.
